May 22, 2009

On Monday, May 11, 2009, 325 women from all over New England came together for Littleton Regional Hospital and LRH Auxiliary’s 18th Annual Women’s Health Conference at The Mt. Washington Resort in Bretton Woods in their new Presidential Conference Center.

Participants from as far away as Rhode Island gathered at The Mt. Washington for this daylong celebration focusing on women’s physical and emotional wellbeing. They learned from lectures on important women’s wellness issues, visited more than 30 vendors who filled the conference center, and participated in free health screenings for cholesterol, blood pressure, glucose and body mass composition all provided by Littleton Regional Hospital. Many attendees also enjoyed free chair massages, Reiki and Refloxology treatments provided by the Mt.Washington Spa, Spalogy and Linda Murphy Luck.

Attendees chose from eighteen lectures on traditional and complementary medicine, from Palpitations: Things That Go Bump in The Heart and Incontinence & Bladder Control to Tai Kwon Do and Yoga.
